Most out of touch government in our history!

So as the deadline approaches for the implementation of the straw the broke the country's back (in my opinion)<<Obamacare.>> .  .  .  I can't help but think of some of the scenes leading up to where we are today.

I remember a news film of Obama being questioned by media because at the time more than half of the population of the country was against this program - and I remember his response.  Basically we idiot citizens didn't know what was good for us and he was going to sign it in no matter what.  Kind of the way the rest of the presidency has gone as well.  Apparently the man doesn't understand the meaning of the word compromise. So despite the fact that our country is a democracy apparently the majority being against something doesn't mean anything in this country anymore.

Another iconic moment - Nancy Pelosi saying we won't know what's in the bill until after it's been passed - - - Oh My Goodness!!  No wonder this country is in so much trouble.  Not only do our elected officials not show up for work -- they also apparently vote on bills they don't even read.  How about we start paying them based on their attendance at work??

So I understand that one of the things that our benevolent lawmakers were so concerned about was the fact that there wasn't affordable health care available to everyone.  That is a shame.  However in typical knee-jerk reaction our elected officials once again decide to pull out another band aid rather than remove the previous dressing and actually clean the wound first.  Let's see . . . .why IS healthcare so expensive?  1) lawsuits run amuck  2) taj mahal health care facilities  3) pharmaceutical companies with exclusive market rights 4) and, yes, those without ability to pay running up bills they never pay

On the plus side - I like that pre-existing conditions will not cause insurance denial and that insurance companies can no longer decide they won't pay anymore and drop someone because they've been too costly for the company.

However, I don't like to think that my aunt might be denied a hip replacement because she hasn't been able to prove to a board of people that she "deserves" one.....

I don't like being told that because I live within these X square miles, I have to got to a doctor within this geographical area

I don't like the freaking IRS having access to my medical records!! Not to mention the government itself!!

Here's what our out of touch government apparently can't get through their thick heads.....some people don't have A SINGLE SPARE PENNY LEFT OVER TO BUY EVEN THE CHEAPEST INSURANCE!!!
